NC-17 Rated Movies

MPAA’s NC-17 rating is uncommon, but it’s important. If a movie’s rated NC-17, most theatres flat-out won’t admit anyone under 17, regardless of parent or adult guardian accompaniment, and no matter the time of day.

This rating is reserved for especially graphic features—movies that, in reality, could be disturbing to anyone. Examples: Showgirls (1995), Man Bites Dog (1992), and, well, almost everything Lars von Trier makes.
